BORN AGEING-immigrant
THE FIRST MONITORING FOR ELDERLY IMMIGRANTS
Emilio Mortilla, President of the Ageing Society: "In 2010, there will be 500 thousand immigrants over 60 more than today. The consequences will not be negligible. " In the great sea of \u200b\u200bimmigration that there are also elderly immigrants.
And it will exist more in the future, if we take into account the regular 640mila who have over 40 years (and that in twenty years it will be over 60).
To overcome this shortcoming, Ageing Society-permanent monitoring of the elderly and 35 charities have created a department that will deal with the problems of elderly immigrants in Italy.
Among these, the Soul, National Association of immigrants, led by Mario Pavone, the Italian Red Cross and Federimmigrati.
The department will also have a responsibility for social issues in the person of Peter Rocchi, president of the Rotary Club of Lazio and Sardinia, and will make use of Professor John Meledandri, Vice President of the International society medicine and director of the department "Complex structure emerging diseases" Santo Spirito Hospital in Rome.
