Non è un vero scienziato e poi quelle strane teorie su nuovi pianeti, congiunture cosmiche, tutte sciocchezze. Raffaele Bendani muore in circostanze misteriose il 3 novembre 1979.
La teoria cosmica di Bendandi
Il filmato è in bianco e nero. Bendandi è anziano. Ha gli occhiali spessi ma gli occhi vispi e acuti. E’ stato invitato dalla Rai per un’intervista al telegiornale. E’ lì che spiega alle famiglie italiane la sua teoria. Lo farà di nuovo, nel 1979. In un filmato, questa volta a colori, Bendandi mostra la stessa energia e certezza di dieci anni prima. Poco dopo morirà. “L’origine dei terremoti secondo la mia teoria è prettamente cosmica. Secondo dati da me raccolti e controllati il sisma avviene quando nel giro mensile di una rivoluzione lunare l’azione del nostro satellite va a sommarsi a quella degli altri pianeti”. Sono la luna, il sole e gli altri pianeti che, secondo l’astronomo, provocano rigonfiamenti della superficie terrestre scatenando movimenti tellurici. I terremoti secondo le sue teorie sarebbero pertanto assolutamente prevedibili.
