Here we are. We are in summer, the heat is there, even the sun, the sea for those who can go there is always the one and many are already taken or are taking vacations. Yet there is something missing because the summer is really summer.
When Europe was still united Yugoslavia was still stuff over the Iron Curtain and the Swiss, the Swiss .. well, what can you do?, There was a program that put Europe in front of the TV. Introduced by the legendary symbol of Eurovision, the challenge initially was interested in Italy, France, West Germany and Belgium, and was then extended to Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Portugal and Greece: it was kind of challenges in sports, most often in contact with water , in which participants were hindered in their movements by buffi costumi. Con una sfida che si protraeva per tutta la trasmissione, il mitico "fil rouge", e la possibilità di giocare l'altrettanto mitico "jolly" per raddoppiare i punti di una manche, fece diventare icone televisive due giudici svizzeri, Gennaro Ulivieri e Guido Pancaldi. Per l'Italia partecipavano sempre località amene quali Livigno, Campione d'Italia, Marostica..che puntualmente venivano superate da altre nazioni, soprattutto la Jugoslavia, che imbottivano le proprie squadre di atleti di caratura olimpionica. Tra i commentatori italiani, i più longevi sono stati Ettore Andenna e l'annunciatrice Rosanna Vaudetti, e poi l'energica Milly Carlucci e Claudio Lippi. Atmosfera da fiera paesana transnazionale, ma irrinunciabile.
Ebbene sì da qualche anno manca ormai il mitico Giochi Senza Frontiere. Programma-gioco a mio parere molto più sano e divertente di reality e repliche di fiction viste e riviste.
